Genetic optimizer
for TradeStation and Omega.
TSGT is a genetic optimizer
of trading strategies parameters for
TradeStation technical analysis program.
This optimizer allows optimizing completed
strategies using genetic algorithms.
TSGT can be used for test optimizations
as well as for periodic reoptimizations
of the strategies trading futures,
stocks and any other asset available
at Tradestation on FOREX.
This product contains TSGenotic Optimizer itself and also TSGenoticEditor,
which simplifies the preparation of
completed strategies for TSGT. Use
of TSGenoticEditor makes optimization
process easy and convenient for any
user. It doesn’t require any specific
knowledge in strategies development
field. The program has a welcome
interface.

Genetic optimizer TSGT allows optimizing any strategies
in TradeStation and Omega Research
Programs.
Strategies can be optimized at any time or history period with an option
of using an intrabar check.
Maximum possible number of parameters for optimization is 150.
Maximum possible population size is 1000 individuals.
The optimizer enables to conduct optimization according
to program set parameters as well
as parameters, set by user.
Among initially available optimization
criteria, there is a profit chart
coefficient of correlation with ideal
yield curve. Such optimization criterion
is one of the most balanced criteria.
You can also conduct optimization
based on maximum system profit, least
drawdown or any other formula.
The optimizer can operate in two modes: Single and
Multiple. . In the first
mode, all variants generated by the
optimizer are calculated. This mode
is perfect for simple strategies with
small number of parameters that are
being optimized. In the Multiple mode,
the optimizer allows calculation distributing
and omitting already calculated variants.
TSGenotic genetic optimizer implemented an option
to distribute calculation to any number
of computers as part of a calculating
cluster as well as different user
computers. This enables to
conduct optimization of larger strategies
with a bigger number of parameters
at a longer history period within
a reasonable time interval. Computers
can be added to calculation or be
output without detriment to main optimization
process.
One of the specific features of the
genetic algorithm is generation of
large number of repeating variants.
The optimizer enables to omit
already calculated variants, which
speeds up optimization process even
more. Moreover, Multiple
mode can be used for calculation even
if there is only one computer runs.
Saving of current
population is also available in this
mode. After turning on this option,
population is automatically saved
in a file. This is a very convenient
option, which lets to continue
optimization process from
the place where it was stopped or
broken off.
Optimization process can be stopped or continued
at any moment. User can decide
when optimization process is to be
stopped or to be continued.
There is an option to save an optimization log.
This will let you to analyze optimization
process in more details.
You can control work results of the genetic optimizer
at any moment and can also conduct
a sort according to optimization criterion.
This enables to track optimization
process on the move.
TSGenoticEditor allows making strategy preparation
process easy using the genetic optimizer.
The strategy can be loaded into the
editor either from a file or from
a clipboard. In the editor, there
is a check for incorrectly input parameters.
As a result of TSGenoticEditor work,
you get an absolutely ready for use
TSGT strategy.
Of course, any strategy can be edited
manually, not using TSGenoticEditor.
Basic genetic algorithm is implemented
in TSGenotic. This is a multiply checked
“trustworthy” genetic algorithm.
An option to manually set parameters
of genetic algorithm makes this tool
extremely flexible and powerful.
